Eighty Eight are a 4 piece Indie-rock band from Northwest London. The band blend in your face Streets-esque lyricism with dance floor Indie and guitar riffs that you just can't stop humming. Eighty Eight is comprised of Zak Garner-Purkis: guitar and vocals, Daniel Dowek: lead guitar, Lauren T Franks bass and vocals and Sam Brolan drums. The quartet has live experience gained across a number of London venues including headline shows at the Barfly (both upstairs and downstairs) and the Bull and Gate.
Eighty Eight have managed to build a solid fan base through their gigs around the Camden area and the website myspace. The band is often asked to return to venues as the headline act because of the large support they bring. Eighty Eight's demo was recorded at Guy Chambers (songwriter/producer for Robbie Williams, Will Young, Natasha Bedingfield) Sleeper Studios where he oversaw the session and Coldplay's bassist Guy Berryman also sat in on the recordings. |
