Now in London, Jim originally comes from the dark heart of Northumberland where he trained as a specialist fruit picker until the call of the ivories became too loud to ignore and he made the journey to the big smoke.
While fronting and writing for 'Sweetheart', Jim's former band, his music enjoyed extensive XFM play as well as receiving stellar national press reviews for the baroque-pop EP 'The Warm Sea'. Before too long, 'Sweetheart' were performing sell-out gigs around London, culminating in the band playing at last years O2 Wireless festival. After taking a break from the band in 2005 to concentrate on his solo material, Jim is putting the finishing touches to the first of two full-length albums 'The Sun Sees' and 'The Snow Knows', set for release this summer.
