Adult Cinema mainman Mike Weston was the first son of a North London signwriter who filled the house with music and musicianship. However, years of frustration at never quite finding the sound he was after in a succession of bands. Then, about three years ago, a neighbour heard Mike playing guitar through the wall and thought he might be interested in borrowing his Pink Floyd box set, some Led Zep and much of the classic rock he'd never heard. Listening to these was like finding the perfect partner or the finest friend after years of plodding around in a constant circle. Newly inspired, Mike hit a rich vein of form and, at the age of 27, finally put together his skills as a musician and a writer. Much of his childhood story and blue collar adult life can be found in the songs, embedded in a modern take on the epic rock sounds of the last thirty years, all mixed up and given a unique twist.
