Ten Floors
A totally unique 4-piece piano-based indie/rock band, are an act that have successfully established themselves as one of the most exciting and dynamic unsigned bands today, sweeping a breath of fresh air over the North of England, and beyond.
Hailing from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, the band consists of idealistic front-man Josh Carruthers (Vocals and Keyboards), the unbreakable brotherhood of Ste Brown (Lead Guitar) and Jake Brown (Bass Guitar and Backing Vocals) along with the solid and driving Adi Bell (Drums and Backing Vocals). Since their formation in 2003, Ten Floors have managed to couple music ability together with friendship in a uniquely creative way - and with all members being 17 years, there is no limit to the creativity and originality still to come.
The Apple Tree will be the title of Ten Floors debut single, their biggest project to date. The Apple Tree fuses Ten Floors ability to craft a song with instant likeability with a distinct accessibility, crucial to inevitable radio play the single will attract. The self-financed single is due for national release on 26 November 2007, and will be available in digital only formats. The Apple Tree has been proudly produced by Mickey Dale (Keyboards, Embrace) and mastered by Mike Heaton (Drums, Embrace), which can only signal what the future holds for Ten Floors. In support of the single release, Ten Floors will be undertaking their biggest tour yet, dubbed The Apple Tree Tour, from September 2007 to December 2007.
The confidence to release their debut single is only confirmed by enduring constant success, notably being named outright winners of the prestigious PULSE Radio Battle of the Bands last year, winning various other Battle of the Bands competitions around the region (All the bands but hardly a battle - Huddersfield Daily Examiner) and playing well-established venues including Sheffields Don Valley Bowl, the Leeds Cockpit, Wakefields Snooty Fox and more recently Chelmsford Park wowing a crowd in excess of 30,000 at the World Jam held earlier this summer.
Other major highlights include being recruited to support successful artists such as Ross Copperman, Bucks Fizz, Eton Road and Gareth Gates. In turn, they have built up a stage presence that sets them apart from any other band on the unsigned scene today.
Not content with just playing live, Ten Floors also have made time to record three studio EPs, including the critically acclaimed EP, Easy Come, Easy Go. All EPs are now totally sold out, standing the band in good stead for their next release, The Apple Tree single. In January 2008, Ten Floors will release their next EP, which will include more new songs produced and mastered by Mickey Dale and Mike Heaton from Embrace.
Ten Floors have proved themselves not only to be able to craft creative songs with meaning and instant likeability, but also with the power of longevity - being the secret to their undeniable success so far.
With originality, style, and talent to make it to the top, Ten Floors are aiming true and high.
"They could be massive".

Their new album [Easy Come, Easy Go] sound is fresh, piano laden pop with strong vocals. The album gets off to a great start with Goodbye and finishes off with the very layered and mature Save Me. They are definitely destined for great things".

"Next it was past their bed time but the four 15-year olds from Brighouse that make up Ten Floors oozed confidence. The lead singer, also the keyboard player, had a voice that soother your body and rang out with passion and conviction"
