Artist Biography
GoodbyeStereo are a four-piece Indie/pop rock band based on the Isle of Wight. Aged between 18-21 with their influences consisting of a mixture of genres including indie, pop, rock, jazz, ambient/experimental and acoustic folk to name but a few you can guarantee an interesting yet energetic performance from this up and coming band.

The foundations of the band were initially laid in September of 1999 when Danny and Sam first met through high school on the Island. The two aspiring musicians became good friends very quickly spending most of their time performing in various musical articles throughout their teens. It wasn't until the return of Danny's summer in the states (August 2006) that the two friends decided it was time to form something more concrete. As they had already a substantial catalogue of songs, it was time to scout for additional members to complete the desired sound that the band now sport.

Ben first came to the attention of the band in late 2006 after Sam's younger brother mentioned that he knew of a drummer that he might be able to put us in contact with. Ben was part of another outfit at the time however this didn't stop him moonlighting his talents. After their first practice together, Danny and Sam were convinced by Ben's outstanding drumming techniques and versatility to adapt to anything, that he was immediately recruited.

The guys began to gig regularly around the Island as an acoustic three-piece, gaining experience and respect from other artists, however they knew that the line-up was far from complete. They had a sound to achieve and for that they needed to go electric and find someone to play bass.

Craig was next on the agenda after a long haul of auditions for someone that could make the desired sound of Goodbye Stereo come to life. Craigs not only added a remarkable amount of fullness to their sound but has brought with him some great pipes to assist Sam in the vocal department. Since Craig's been with the band they've developed their sound ten-fold with ambitions to make a career in the music industry.

The band have just recently been a weekly winner on XFM uploaded.
