Artist Biography
Delorentos are a Dublin based alternative rock band. The four-piece have been together for less than two years and the recently released Leave It On EP is the fruit of the band's first success with the recording (and an Abbey Road mastering session) funded by their prize for winning the British National Student Music Awards in London in May - the competition also guarantees them a recording session in BBC's infamous Maida Vale recording studios and a slot on popular tv show CD:UK when they confirm the UK release date for the EP. The release has garnered them plenty of press attention as well as numourous TV appearances and a top 30 chart position in Ireland.

With songs jointly and individually written by Ronán (guitar, vocals) and Kieran (guitar, vocals) in conjunction with Níal (bass, vocals) and Ross (drums, vocals) Delorentos' resultant sound ranges from soft acoustic melodies to angular, driven guitar rock. Riffs and rhythms combine to produce powerful, intimate and captivating tunes that have already won them a dedicated fan-base across the country through their regular live appearances.

Aside from headline shows the band have also played with the likes of Idlewild, Bell X1 and The Coral in locations as far afield as London, New York, Chicago and Toronto.

Delorentos recently played a storming set at 'Other Voices: Songs from a Room' and were nominated for 'Best New Irish Band' at the Irish Meteor awards in February.
