Citadels have risen!
Formed during the heady days of summer '07, Citadels believe that there are only two types of music; good music and bad music. Citadels set off to explore the good kind. This London based group have been writing, recording and performing together for a little under a year but have already notched up an impressive string of venues played including Proud Gallery and The Works ,and crafted an energetic demo E.P, "Animals". The title track of which has already been championed by the likes of Steve Lamacq, Gary Crowley, and Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music where they were a featured unsigned band and Alex Zane of Myspace Mars Radio who said it was 'one of his favourite' tracks he'd been sent. The band has yet to be ascribed to one particular genre or scene in today's musical climate, describing their approach to writing as being "pre-emptive". With a live set frothing at the mouth with energy and rabid enthusiasm, Citadels take pride in winning over a new audience with each and every show in their on going carnival of performance London's 'The Fly' says 'Colossal power-pop architecture overlain with roof-defying choruses of scant gravitational regard'. Fresh from supporting Architecture in Helsinki these starlings are set to make quite an impression in 2008. |
