Artist Biography
Talent, tenacity and an uncompromising work ethic; welcome to the world of C.Monts, one of homegrown hip-hop's hottest young prospects. A rapper's rapper, not only is Monts technically equipped to rip any mike device, he also possesses a plethora of qualities essential to succeed in such a demanding market.

Working to establish himself as a one-man rap force to be reckoned with, C.Monts has been hosting jams, blessing open mikes and bum-rushing battles across the south of England since his mid-teens. Aside from his regular appearances on Tommy Gun's highly sought after 'Hard 2 Buff' mixtapes, some of his notable achievements include taking first place at London's infamous Speech Therapy battle and being resident host at the groundbreaking Southbound nights at Matrix in Reading alongside Rodney P. More recently he hosted and appeared on Silent Soundz's landmark mixtape 'The Sickness'. This subsequently became Deal Real London's best selling mixtape of 2005. Needless to say he has been invited back to host the next installment, set to drop late 2006. Monts' commitment to making a name for himself in hip-hop has recently taken him to Eastern Europe where he is already building a strong following. With an interview and feature on Prague's number 1 hip hop radio show, multiple magazine features and a performance alongside Jehst and DJ IQ in his first two visits alone, Monts is on course to smash the Eastern Bloc. He has been invited back to host Prague's prestigious 'Hip Hop Kemp' festival, the largest hip-hop event of its kind in the world.

Currently in the studio recording & penning his forthcoming EP 'The Dawn Treader', C.Monts is set to continue making moves with the same whirlwind velocity that his recent progression has stirred up. Featuring a smorgasbord of producers from these shores and beyond plus artwork courtesy of Andy Muscle, this debut solo release promises to be hot shit.
