Steve Jones wasn't a big fan of Mike Skinner

Steve Jones has told 4Music that he didn't like The Streets star Mike Skinner when he first met him but now thinks he's a thoroughly good egg.

The Welsh 'Transmission' presenter, who recently told us he still loves Kenny Rogers despite him being used as the England rugby team's musical mascot, said that Mike was drunk when the pair first met and Steve may have got the wrong impression.

"We had Mike Skinner on the show recently and he was a lovely bloke," said Steve.

"I met him once before and he was drunk so I thought he was a bit of a dick but then when I met him again, I thought he was lovely. He was a really nice bloke, I really like him."
