Spice Girls new single preview

4Music has been given a sneak preview of the new Spice Girls single and we can reveal… it's really quite good.

'Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)', which is set for digital release on November 5 and physical release on November 19, is a classic Spice ballad along the lines of 1997's 'Viva Forever' with a prominent Spanish guitar and an uplifting chorus featuring the words: "The best things suddenly happen when you are here / And if I lost my way you'd carry me home."

All five girls were in London this weekend to shoot the video at the famous Pinewood studios. And rumours are circulating that the single will also include the previously-unreleased song 'W.O.M.A.N', an uptempo Girl Power anthem which the girls first performed as a four piece during their final tour in 1999.

'Headlines…' will receive its radio premiere simultaneously across the world on October 23.
