Mariah Carey leads festive chart assault

Mariah Carey led a Christmas assault on the singles chart yesterday with 1994's 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' entering the Top Ten as a slew of festive hits invaded the chart.
While Leona Lewis held on to the top spot for a seventh week with 'Bleeding Love', Mariah took the number eight spot, with The Pogues ft Kirsty MacColl's 'Fairytale Of New York' at number 12 and Wham!'s 'Last Christmas' at number 23.
There were also Top 40 placings for Wizard, Shakin' Stevens, Slade and Band Aid.
In the album chart, Leona held on to the top spot for a fourth week with 'Spirit'.
