Led Zeppelin postpone London gig
02/11/2007
Led Zeppelin have been forced to reschedule their one-off London date due to guitarist Jimmy Page breaking his finger.
The band, who recently hinted that they may make new material, have had to change the date from November 26 to December 10 so that the legendary guitarist can rest up and start rehearsing again on November 23 for the concert which is a tribute to Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun.
Tickets for the original date will still be valid but those holders who cannot attend the rescheduled date will have until 12pm on November 14 to get a full refund.
"I am disappointed that we are forced to postpone the concert by two weeks," said Jimmy Page in the offical statement.
"However, Led Zeppelin have always set very high
standards for ourselves, and we feel that this postponement will enable my injury to properly heal, and permit us to perform at the level that both the band and our fans have always been accustomed to."
