Kate Nash sympathises with Winehouse

Kate Nash has offered her sympathy to Amy Winehouse, saying how easy it is to succumb to drink and drugs in the music industry.

Nash, 20, famous for her summer hit 'Foundations', says that taking drugs is "so easy" and claims to be constantly offered illegal substances.

"I can totally see why people like me turn to drugs," WENN reports Kate saying.

"That's why I'd never criticise Amy Winehouse for what she's going through. I understand why she's gone that way - it would be so easy for me to get my hands on any drug I wanted.

"This business has a seriously dark, seedy side. You have people on the payroll whose job it is to get you drugs. But I don't want to go down that road. I can't do it. I don't want to be some prima donna using drugs to keep me sane."
