Kanye and Amy top Grammy nominations

Kanye West and Amy Winehouse are leading the nominations list for the 50th Grammy Awards, with eight and six respectively.

Rapper Kanye will go head to head with troubled Amy in the album of the year category, while Amy takes on Beyonce, Foo Fighters, Rihanna and Justin Timberlake for the prestigious record of the year title.

Foos and Justin received five nominations each as did uber producer Timbaland, rap CEO Jay-Z and US R'n'B singer T-Pain.

Paul McCartney's 'Memory Almost Full' album is up against Amy's 'Back To Black' in the best pop vocal album category.

The ceremony takes place on February 10 in Los Angeles.
