Fall Out Boy angered by Grammys snub
10/12/2007
Pete Wentz has lashed out at music industry execs for failing to nominate Fall Out Boy at this year's Grammy Awards.
The emo bassist revealed his displeasure with the lack of recognition for the success the band have achieved in 2007 with hit singles such as 'This Ain't A Scene It's An Arms Race' on the Fall Out Boy website.
"A fifty-year-old white man shouldn't decide whether we are relevant or not – and he doesn't," wrote Wentz.
"The first reaction is jealousy mixed with a slight sense of entitlement. We just want to be a part of your club... We play the events for you and the right parties all the time.
"It's kind of like being invited to a birthday party and then not allowed to eat the cake."
