Amy Winehouse will play Grammys?
11/12/2007
Amy Winehouse is determined to play next year's Grammy ceremony, according to her spokesperson.
The 24-year-old singer, who was yesterday called a style successor to Brigitte Bardot by designer Karl Lagerfeld, is set on playing the ceremony in LA in February for which she is nominated for six awards.
It is hoped that her arrest in Norway earlier this year for marijuana possession won't hinder her chances of obtaining a visa for the 50th Grammy Awards bash.
"Amy is thrilled to be nominated for six Grammys and is very much hoping to attend," said a spokesperson for the singer to people.com.
"She is determined to be ready and well for that performance."
