Yoko and Paul talk

Paul McCartney told Pete Doherty that he was scared when confronted by some young punks in London recently but was relieved to find they were big fans of his.
The star, who yesterday attempted to finalise his divorce to Heather Mills, told Pete in this weekend's Observer Music Monthly, that he was a little apprenhensive when he was approached by the youngsters but was pleased when they confessed their love of his 1977 Wings' hit 'Mull of Kintyre'.
"I remember being in traffic, in London and suddenly there was a bunch of punk kids, and I’m like, 'Oh no how's this going to work out?' What's the attitude going to be?"
"You're vaguely apprehensive, and they were great, they came up: 'Paul!' 'Love that "Mull of Kintyre," Paul!' So you realised it wasn't as one-sided as you thought everything was. It was a shake-up."
Also in the magazine, Yoko Ono told Beth Ditto that some school children were overwhelmed at her Beatles connection: "They asked me 'Have you ever met Ringo?' So I said yes and this girl just fell on the floor, just fainted. Just because I said I’d met Ringo!"
