Britney's album brought forward

11/10/2007

Britney Spears' new album, 'Blackout', will be released two weeks ahead of schedule to avoid more songs being leaked on the internet.

The singer, who recently lost custody of her two children to Kevin Federline, will release her fifth studio album - her first for four years - on October 30 instead of mid November as planned.

"Recently, songs from Britney Spears' forthcoming album, along with unfinished material and demos represented as completed legitimate songs, were leaked online," said a representative from Britney's record label, Jive.

"Due to these numerous unauthorised online leaks, the label is doing everything possible to prevent and avoid any further illegal distribution of songs including moving up the release date of the album to October 30."

Meanwhile, Brazilian band CSS last week told us in a very frank way that Britney's problems are all her own doing.
