An exclusive online diary from the Love Bites!

Here at Slashmusic, we've loved Love Bites for a really long time. We played 'You Broke My Heart' so much that the people downstairs packed up and moved out, which was good because they were bastards.

Anyway, they have a new single out called 'He's Fit' and we thought that was a good time for them to update their exciting daily pop star diary! And they agreed!

So, once again, they've been all over the place doing gigs, hanging out with rock groups, wearing increasingly skimpy clothes, tickling puddle-ducks (possibly) and hammering the sambuca.

Welcome back, ver Bites!

Hurrah!

Something up in Ayr tonight...

03/03/2006

Hey guys, it's Hannah! We've had a really good day today - no driving for eight hours sending us all maaaaad!

We played at a school in Ayr and it was awesome - everyone was rocking out! It was wicked! They said they couldn't wait to get out of the hall and buy our single - that felt so good.

Honestly, it's amazing the feeling we all have when we've got a good crowd properly rocking out!

After we finished at the school, we packed up and left and went straight to WestFM radio station. They were the first ever radio station that we did an interview with, and we were so happy to go back. Our single is also on their A list, which means it gets played loads which is great!

After that we had to go to another school which was fun - especially as so many people said to me they thought it was really cool that we played our own instruments. We inspired them to form a school band! I said great - when you're ready send us some songs and maybe you could join us on the road!

Then we had to get back to the hotel, gobble up some dinner, then do a phoner with Capital Disney, where we spoke to the lovely Allan Lake on his show - he's so funny, the last time we went to see him in the studio we played musical bumps! Don't ask! [We won't - the Slashmusic team.]

Gonna love you and leave you now. I love my sleep and haven't been getting very much of it recently!

Nite Nite! Speak soon love you, Han xx

On the road - literally...

02/03/2006

Hey guys! It's Nicki here, I hope everyone is well, we've been really busy doing all sorts! Today we did two interviews in central London then we drove all the way to Scotland.

I thought we were never gonna get there! It took about eight and half hours and everyone was going a bit stir crazy - our tour manager went to the services and spent £25 on chocolate. It was like Willy Wonka's factory in the van! Dani was bouncing off the walls lol!

For once we weren't cold, as in the van usually its freezing - I mean literally like being in a freezer! We've got a new heater now so it's boiling! I think all the heat and chocolate sent me doolally though, 'cause when we finally got to our hotel, I fell out of the van (yes, actually FELL out!) and really hurt myself. I think my ego was more bruised than any of my bod though. I was so embarrassed!

Ah well, as the girls pointed out, I'm still living up to my clumsy reputation. It's cool that we've got our single out at the minute, it means we're twice as busy and we love it. I gotta go as I have to be up in six hours for a busy day in Ayr! Catch ya laterz. Love you lots! xxxxxxxxxxxx

'He's Fit' release day!

27/02/2006

Hi everyone! What a hectic day we've had. We were up at 6:45am to do a TV show: Xchange for the BBC. It was brill! Aimee and me got to make pancakes, and we both managed to finish them all off, ha ha!

And Hannah and Nicki got to throw breakfast over these poor girls' heads! It was so funny. Then at the end Hannah started a cornflakes fight and we all joined in.

After that we travelled 100 miles to Nuneaton, near our home town, to do a signing in What Records. Loads of people turned up and some of our friends came down, it was great to see them all again! Then we were back on the road, heading to London where we went straight to see Orson play live at the Scala. We met them at TOTP Reloaded last week, they are all very sweet and brilliant live!

After their gig, we had to dash across London to the Astoria where we were performing at G-A-Y! Our performance time was 1am, but we were so excited that we weren't even a bit tired. (That was nothing to do with the shots of sambuca, honest!) In our set we included our track 'Bitch', which went down a storm, and it was amazing seeing people singing along! Of course we finished off the night with our new single 'He's Fit'. Thank you G-A-Y for having us!

Now we've gotta go to Scotland - can't wait! More news soon!

Puppy love!

20/10/2005

Last night, we did a gig at the Hard Rock Café. When we did our signing yesterday, we asked some people to come and see us play, and I’m glad we asked them to come because one or two had never seen us play live before so it was exciting to see what they thought! We played our usual set but sneaked in one of our new songs called 'Jip'! It went down really well!

Oh and guess what! We opened a HMV in Walsall! It was wicked because we had to hold a
big pair of scissors. And a cute puppy!

Happy Birthday to Nicki!

19/10/2005

Today is a very important day for Nicki Love Bite - she is 18 years old! When we woke up this morning me and Hannah went into Nicki’s room so we could watch her open her presents, and then we went straight to the first school. On stage me and Dani got everyone singing 'Happy Birthday' to Nicki which was funny because she went really red ha ha!

After we left the school, we went straight to HMV to do a signing. Now we are soundchecking in the Hard Rock Café, we are playing a gig there later and I can't wait! Make sure you keep buying the single!

Girls need guitars!

18/10/2005

We got up pretty early this morning to travel up to Barnet. At the moment, we are doing School of Rock Tour - it's awesome because all the kids treat you like stars and we are just like, "It's only us!" It's Nicki’s birthday tomorrow, so at the school, everyone sang happy birthday to her and a little girl came and gave her a mini card, it was so sweet.

After that, we did a web chat with Bliss, which was really cool. Everyone could see us on the webcam, so we made some signs saying 'girls need guitars'! It was really cool!

After the web chat we went to Capital Disney and had a chat on the radio with Alan. He turned up late so we took over his radio show until he arrived and introduced our new single! When we were on the air we decided to play musical chairs and everyone that walked past the studio thought we were all mental!

The Love Bites hit the shops!

17/10/2005

As you all know, our record is out today and we are all soooooo excited!!

We started off our morning by doing a signing near our home town. When we got to What Records (that’s the name of the record shop!), loads of people were queuing up for us to sign stuff for them. It was so busy that we couldn’t eat the bananas that were brought for us!

When we left What Records, we went straight back to London because we had a TV thing with CBBC Xchange! Me and Hannah had to tell everyone on live TV what we would do if we caught our parents snogging - yuk! Hannah made me laugh by saying she would chuck a bucket over them! Ha ha!

Now we are all sitting in the van on the way back to our house in London, and Dani is laughing about something and no-one knows what she’s on about!

Welcome to cafe society...

13/10/2005

On Monday we were invited to the relaunch of the Hard Rock Cafe after their fire! We were dropped off in fire engines and there were loads of paparazzi waiting outside.

We didn't think they would know who we were, and we thought we would just walk in with everyone else, but as soon as we pulled up they started taking loads of photos and shouting out our names and stuff - it was well wicked!

We were grinning like mad. It was a great night and there were loads of celebs including Kelly Osbourne and Rooster - who played an amazing live set.

We had to travel up north afterwards and we tried to sleep, but we were still buzzing with so much excitement that we stayed awake the whole journey!

Radio 1 vs The Love Bites!

11/10/2005

At some very, very early hour of this morning, we dragged ourselves out of bed to go to the Radio 1 studios for an interview with JK and Joel on their breakfast show.

We got absolutley soaked in the rain so we looked like drowned rats when we got in there. We had to dry ourselves off in the toilets under the hand dryers - very glamorous!

JK and Joel were brilliant and so lovely - I brought my guitar and mini Marshall amp, and taught Joel how to do finger tapping live on air!

It was a brilliant morning - hopefully we will get to meet them again soon...

We love Popworld!

11/10/2005

We filmed Popworld last week with Simon Amstell - everyone was telling us how scary he was, but we thought he was really nice and soooooooooooooo funny!

We filmed the interview in the offices of our record company and there was one section where Simon got a hammer out and was smashing up CDs, and he accidentally broke the brand new boardroom table!

So, if anyone wants to blame us, you can't! It wasn't out fault!

Lovebites get Reloaded!

06/10/2005

We've been filming at Top of the Pops Reloaded! It was being hosted by Sam and Mark, as the amazing Fearne Cotton was in America.

We were on the show with McFly and Rachel Stevens along with a brilliant Dancing Dad who was a vicar!

It was really cool as we got to introduce our video to everyone - although Nicki was well embarrassed as she sat on a jelly bean which she had stuck to her bum for the whole of the show.

It was only ages later that she found it squashed and stuck on there! Ha!

We rock - in schools!

04/10/2005

We're still travelling up and down the motorways with the 'School of Rock' tour. It's hard work being energetic and doing a full-on live gig at 8am, but all the pupils think that we've been good, which makes it all worth it.

It was well funny the other day, we were just getting ready to leave the school and when we came outside, we saw loads of kids around the van rocking it and shouting: "Love Bites!"

Hannah's teacher was inside on her own and was really scared that the van was going to tip over! We were laughing our heads off, but the teacher was OK in the end. Though she still made Hannah do her lessons :(

School of Rock

23/09/2005

At the moment we are back in school! We're doing our 'School of Rock' tour, where we play to the school and then get some kids to get up and learn to play some of our songs and sing the harmonies. Talking of school, Aimee & Dani did their GCSEs this year - their results are on our kitchen table unopened!

They've said that they aren't going to open them until they know that they don't need them - fingers crossed the single does well!

Posh Nosh

22/09/2005

We stayed in a really really posh hotel last week when we were doing our radio tour, so posh that one night, I had a pudding with chocolate sauce and the bowl had a candle underneath it to keep it hot!

I couldn't believe it - I had to take a photo of it and send it to my mates.

I could definitely get used to this life...

Embarrassment

20/09/2005

We met with our labelmates McFly last weekend at the very expensive Intercontinental Hotel in Park Lane. We were interviewing each other as an added extra for our single (out October 17, Lovebites fans!).

Afterwards, we were waiting for our van, and driving down Park Lane, we saw this huge, bright red, clapped-out heap of junk that had bits falling off of it and different coloured doors!

The driver was tooting as he came down the road, and we were laughing our heads off until we spotted the McFly lads coming out of the hotel and getting into really swanky cars! We were well embarrassed, and asked the doorman of the hotel to put his coat around us so we could hide!

Tickled Pink

18/09/2005

We were really excited to have been invited to the Tickled Pink event at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday night. It was to raise awareness about Breast Cancer which we all really support.

We got dropped off in a huge Pink Cadillac and there were loads and loads of photographers. We were all really really scared, but after a minute or two we relaxed and started to enjoy it more. They were all shouting stuff to us and telling us where to look - just like when you see it on the TV!

The whole night was brilliant and the Royal Albert Hall is amazing - it's massive!

Gibson Rock

16/09/2005

Last night we did a gig for Gibson guitars at their showcase. Their showrooms are wicked - so many guitars!

Ben from Rooster came down to watch us too which was cool, and he said that he thought we rocked. Hannah managed to embarrass herself later on in the night though... she was talking to a really important man from America and he was talking about his son who lives in Boston. Hannah then piped up: "Oh Boston, we go past that all the time on the way to Skegness!"

Obviously, this guy was talking about Boston in America, not England, and she went bright red! It was soooooooo funny!
