Can't Tell Me Nothing
And other things about Kanye we didn't know…

Kanye, which apparently means 'the only one' in Swahili, is supposed to be pronounced 'con-yay'. So now you know.

Kanye's middle name is Omari.

In October 2002, Kanye fractured his jaw in three places (and has a metal plate there now) after he fell asleep at the wheel of his car and crashed. The crash inspired Kanye's first single, 'Through The Wire'.

Kanye's dear old mum, Dr Donda West, used to be the head of the English department at Chicago State University. Kanye dropped out of college to pursue music. The world rejoiced.

Kanye, a committed Christian, was born on June 8 1977 and is 5'8" tall.

Kanye has produced for Fall Out Boy and Jay-Z and has won six Grammy awards in his career, including Best Rap Album twice - for debut 'College Dropout' and follow-up 'Late Registration'.
