More about Martin Parr
The photographer was born in Epsom, Surrey, in 1952 and studied photography at Manchester Polytechnic 1970-1973.

In 2002, a large retrospective of Martin Parr's work was initiated by the Barbican Art Gallery and the National Museum.

In 2004, he was appointed Professor of Photography at the University of Wales Newport campus. And appointed Guest Artistic Director for Rencontres D'Arles the same year.
