Growth in male eating disorders

Tue 27 Mar 2007
More 4 News report on how eating disorders are increasingly affecting men as well as women.

The size zero debate has recently focused attention on the dangers of anorexia and bulimia in women - but among men they often go unrecognised.

It's estimated that one in ten of the 90,000 people suffering from eating disorders in Britain are men, and experts say the numbers are rising - one told More 4 News they'd seen a 50% increase in men suffering from bulimia in the last two years.

We spent a couple of days with Paul Ratcliffe, a 22-year-old who's suffered from an eating disorder for over six years.
