The Conservative Party's effort to increase its number of women and ethnic minority MPs is running into trouble already.
More4 News has learnt that a number of those left off David Cameron's 'A' list of priority candidates are considering legal action.
But despite fears of a revolt among local parties, an exclusive poll for More4 news has found constituency chairmen broadly supportive of the list.
Andrew Thomas reports from the safe Tory seat of Bromley and Chislehurst, which could provide the first test of the 'A' list after the death of MP Eric Forth last week.
