Stanley Johnson

Stanley Johnson is a former MEP, where he was Vice-Chairman of the Environment Committee.

Stanley stood as the Conservative candidate for Teignbridge, Devon in the recent 2005 General Election, hoping to follow his son Boris (Tory MP for Henley and Editor of the Spectator) into Westminster.

Stanley is a regular columnist for the Guardian and has written 10 books on environmental issues. His environmental work has also led to him receiving the Greenpeace Award for Outstanding Services to the Environment and the RSPCA award for Outstanding Services to Animal Welfare.

Stanley has also had nine novels published including The Commissioner, which was made into a film starring John Hurt.

Stanley made his first foray into TV presenting as a guest host on Have I Got News for You (2005).
