Ekow Eshun

Ekow Eshun is the Artistic Director of the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA), London.

Born in London to Ghanaian parents in 1968, Eshun grew up in England and studied politics and history at the London School of Economics.

He worked as Assistant Editor of The Face magazine before being appointed Editor-in-Chief of Arena magazine, becoming, at 28, the youngest ever editor of a men's magazine.

In 1999, he was named by The London Evening Standard as one of Britain's most talented people under the age of 30.
