The trap the bear has escaped from and the traps surrounding it on its journey represent all the social, economic and political issues that Russia is facing in its struggle to survive.
Facts about the severity of the situation in Russia, included in the trail script, are as follows:

- Abortions outnumber live births;
- Every second newborn is diagnosed with disease;

Positive comments we have received through the More4 website include:
"Congratulations on such excellent programming and quite amazing trailers. Your most recent one for your Russia season with the bear is just incredible and the one a month or two back with the clowns in Iraq - wow. Is there somewhere we can see these again or maybe be put in touch with their makers to congratulate them personally? Keep it up! James"
"The advert for this series in programs about Russia - it catches my breath. My sister and I fall silent. The bear is an excellent metaphor and I'm doing the Russian Revolution at school - so these programs will be handy!"
