TV work
John Butler has made more than 20 television appearances as an expert in hypnotherapy with several programmes focusing on his use of hypnotherapy as an anaesthetic for chronic pain and in invasive surgeries.
Training
He trained in a variety of systems of hypnotherapy and other psychological therapies including extensive training in autogenic psychotherapy. He has been registered as a psychotherapist with the United Kingdom for Psychotherapy and received certification from the European Association for Psychotherapy and holds membership of the British Psychological Society.
A teacher and instructor
He has made a personal study of many healing systems and has taught mental development and therapy systems for 32 years.
He is a licensed teacher of Transforming TherapyTM and has taught this therapy system over many years including as a teaching assistant to its originator Gil Boyne under whom he trained extensively in the method.
He has acted as an expert witness and as an advisor to the police in legal cases involving hypnosis.
He is the clinical author of the popular book Secrets of Hypnotherapy.
