Bradley Whitford plays Danny Tripp, a recovering cocaine addict who left "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" in a show of support for his writing partner, Matt Albie (Matthew Perry) and who, along with Matt, is brought back as executive producer.

Whitford, a classically trained stage actor who has received critical acclaim for his roles in theatre, film and television, is well-known for his role as the sarcastic yet vulnerable Josh Lyman on The West Wing. He's also guest starred on ER, The X Files and NYPD Blue.

Whitford lives in Los Angeles with his wife, actress Jane Kaczmarek, and their three children.
