Dr Simon Festing

Devil's Challenge

First on More4 Dec 2005
Will Dr Simon Festing reassess his position and decide that animal testing is a needless cruelty?

Are he strong enough to withstand The Devil's Challenge?

Our resident Devil, Malcolm McClaren, comes face to face with the head of the Research Defence Society, Dr Simon Festing.

As the director of the main pro-animal testing lobby in Britain, Dr Festing deals with animal rights extremists on a regular basis. But how will he cope with being made to live the life of a lab animal in the Devil's lair, made to undergo a series of experiments over an intense 48 hours?

Faced with an escalating series of challenges and forced to defend animal experimentation not only to the general public but to a classroom of kids, will our good doctor reassess his position and decide that animal testing is a needless cruelty or will he succeed in passing The Devil's Challenge?
