Trinidad, Colorado is the sex change capital of the world. Since 1969 more than 5,000 genital reassignment surgeries have been performed at the hospital there. Even the head surgeon, Marci Bowers MD, used to be a man.

Bree Miller, born Brian, is an engineer from Tennessee coming to Trinidad for genital reassignment surgery. Despite understanding at an early age that he was born the wrong gender, Brian spent years switching between genders as he struggled to find support.
