What is MMS? With the success of SMS comes MMS, or Multi Messaging Service. Some operators call this Picture Messaging or Media Messaging. This service offers mobile phone users the option to enhance their messages using sound and pictures, including video and audio clips. Pictures can be downloaded from a computer or the Internet and not only can these messages be sent from one mobile phone to another, they can also be sent via email to phone and vice versa.
Some phones now have cameras built in to them or are available as a clip on attachment, which allow you to take photographs and email them to a computer or another compatible phone.
In general though, MMS is currently only available on certain handsets.

What is a PDA? Personal Digital Assistants (PDA) or Palm Pilots as they are often referred to, are in their standard form electronic personal organisers, with contacts, diary and email inbox a standard feature. But there are also more sophisticated versions that allow you make phone calls, pick up emails remotely and browse the web.
Every time you want to update the information held on your PDA, you must connect it to your PC. This means that your diary, email inbox and contacts are the same on your PDA and PC. Through Avantgo it is possible to download your favourite website provided it has been specifically configured for PDA.
More sophisticated versions of PDA do not need to be connected to the PC to access the web. This wireless connection means that you can pick up emails away from the office, and download information from the web much as you would do from your PC.
