For the launch of Instant Messenger v. 7.0 MSN wanted to promote the new video conferencing feature. Through utilising the success of Channel4.com/film, and some talented actors, we came up with a brilliantly entertaining interactive Charades game. Users were required to watch a series of clips and with the help of a clue guess each film. All participants were entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a portable media centre or one of 100 webcams.
There were over 5k entries over a month long period with 30% of the traffic being driven by the 'send to a friend' option.
