Tip 16: Give Away your Rubbish
Your rubbish is someone else's treasure. There's loads of ways that you can give your cast-off's away – Get Recycling, de-clutter and help the environment.
Tip 17: Buy Second-Hand Furniture
You can get some beautiful antique pieces in odd little shops across the country for very little more than it would cost to buy new. These days its becoming all the rage to mix new and old!
Tip 18: Eco-decorate
Next time you redecorate use eco paints. There are a number on the market and they aren't nearly so toxic or costly to produce.
Tip 19: Buy Recycled
There are some great recycled products on the market now which can really help to save energy, metal, wood and so on. For example, recycled paper takes about 10% - 30% of the energy that new paper takes to make.
Tip 20: Save your Rainwater
Using rainwater to water your plants is better than tap water. There are plenty of different shapes and sizes of rainwater containers available or, even better, make your own but remember to have a lid on it as that helps stop algae forming.
