The BASF House in Nottingham represents a landmark in sustainable design and construction.

BASF were keen to address one of the key issues facing the construction industry today - building truly affordable, environmentally-friendly housing. With this in mind, BASF teamed up with the School of the Built Environment at the University of Nottingham to create a house that:
  • has a low carbon emissions target.
  • uses energy efficient products to create a thermally efficient home and renewable fuel for heating.
  • has a flexible design: it can be adapted for semi-detached or terraced houses.
  • is affordable for first-time buyers using passive solar design to keep costs down.
