- No More Carriers
Supermarkets are getting wise to the carrier bag issue. Try to re-use and recycle them when you can. String bags are coming back into fashion if you fancy one! There are plenty of other 'bag-for-life' options if you don't. - Drink Tap Water
Ditch the bottled water and go for tap water. If you can taste chlorine in it, then get a water filter that will remove all the added chemicals. Plastic bottles are very energy expensive. - Cook Fast and Furious
Steam rather than boil your veggies. They cook quicker, take less water and keep more of their nutrients. Alternatively you can really save on your gas or electric bills by using a pressure cooker. It takes a fraction of the time to cook things in.
- Steer Clear of Packaging
Avoid as many products as you can that come with packaging. Buy refills where you can. Buying larger sizes also saves on packaging.
