ARC Appliance Reuse Centre
www.arc-croydon.org.uk/
ARC helped us find some working electrical items that had been thrown out for the group to use later on. ARC is a charity that provides a bulky waste collection service to councils, hotels and businesses that is primarily aimed to maximise reuse.

Centre for Alternative Technology
www.cat.org.uk
The Centre for Alternative Technology gave us advice on how to build composting toilets, a solar shower and various other alternative ways to live sustainably. One of their consultants, Steve Jones, was on hand at the dump to give us advice.

Changing Habbits
www.rsa.org.uk/projects/changing_habbits.asp
The Changing Habbits project is a new way of highlighting our individual environmental impact. A Habbit is a creature whose body shape is dictated by your lifestyle. You fill out a lifestyle questionnaire online and using that data an image of your Habbit is produced. Each body part relates to an element of your lifetstyle – for example, the bigger the feet the worse your carbon emissions through travel. Each of our participants produced their own Habbit during their time on the dump.

Community RePaint
www.communityrepaint.org.uk/
Community RePaint in Twickenham supplied the dump with paint that had been thrown away. It is a UK network of over 65 community-based paint reuse schemes. Individual schemes collect tins of leftovers from householders and unsold and end-of-line paint from DIY shops.

Ecover
www.ecover.com/gb/en/
Ecover is a manufacturer of ecological detergents and cleansing agents and supplied the dump with ecologically friendly washing up liquid and washing detergent for the group to use during their stay.

Fonebak
www.fonebak.com/
Foneback supplied the dump with recycled mobile phones to illustrate just how many are thrown out every hour in the UK. Foneback provides mobile phone re-use and recycling solutions for mobile phone operators, retailers and corporations.

Millets
www.millets.co.uk/oneearth
Millets' new One Earth brand is a high-performance range of environmentally friendly clothing, wind-up walking accessories and camping gear. One Earth supplied our group with wind-up torches and sleeping bags.

Sutton Council
www.sutton.gov.uk/
The site the group lived on is within the London Borough of Sutton. Sutton Council’s civic amenity centre supplied the dump with furniture and other household goods that had been thrown out. Sutton Council also allowed some of the group to accompany a dust cart on its residential rounds.

Viridor Waste Management
www.viridor-waste.co.uk/
Viridor run the site on which the Dumped participants lived. They assisted in building our dump and ensuring that it complied with environmental legislation. They also provided us with regular deliveries of rubbish which the group used to build with and recycle.
