What did you think of Sasha’s spa? Did it boost morale? What did they learn from it?

Sasha’s spa is the most powerful demonstration of changing the context of waste into high value, high status items. Things people aspire to own in ordinary life can be made from other people’s rubbish.

Sasha hadn’t even picked up a saw before coming to the dump. Yet here she was building a hot tub and sauna. These are considered luxury items.

This inspired the group. They realised they hadn’t tapped into the potential of the rubbish on the dump. It clicked. There was serious potential in this junk. It became more than survival.
