Christine Sees The Beauty In Rubbish

By now the group could see that rubbish had two basic uses - they could build with it, or they could sell it for money. But Christine saw a third use for the rubbish around them. Rather than just seeing it as junk, she could see beauty in it. And so she decided to build an art installation on the corner of the dump nearest the landfill.
She enlisted Lawrence's help and together, like two slightly grubby magpies, they eagerly set about scavenging for car windscreens, metal poles, mirrors, foil and anything else shiny that they could find on the dump.
A snake appears
But not everyone thought this was a good idea. Jason made a video diary about his concerns about the artwork, which he had raised with Christine. But Christine's enthusiasm for her work could not be dampened down, particularly when as part of her scavenging she discovered the remains of a dead snake in the rubbish. For Christine, snakes are a particularly important symbol. Clutching the corpse she explained to the group: 'I found this snake and some of you might know or not know but the snake is related to Earth powers, catonic powers, underground powers and the snake when it is slithering around on its belly, cos it is highly attuned to vibration it feels what is going on in Earth and it was highly interesting to me to actually find this snake, it was a sign to me.'
However, for some what concerned them was that a snake had been discovered on the dump. It's red, white and black markings did not look particularly friendly. 'Is it rubbish dumped here, or does it live here?” Aaron asked worriedly as Christine showed it round. The group came to the conclusion that it was probably a pet that had died and had then been chucked in the bin by someone.
Christine enlisted Lawrence's help again to give the snake a fitting burial. They agreed that this would be the spot on which they would eventually erect their masterpiece, the art installation.
