Yvonne from Uxbridge changes places with Michele from the Isle of Wight, whose life couldn’t be more different
Yvonne is married to Dave and is devoted to her four children - Shannon (10), Michael (8), Hannah (5) and Amy (2). She’s a strict routinist and spends her days cleaning her already immaculate home.
By contrast, Michele isn’t an enthusiastic homemaker or parent. In fact, already the mother to Melanie (16), Michele was ‘devastated’ when she found she was pregnant with twins. They, Sophie and Stephen, are now three years old. Michele enjoys going out to the pub so much that she’s got a job there and is out five nights a week, leaving the housework, shopping and cooking to her partner Ian. Ian would love Michele to help more but no-one can tell Michele what to do and Ian certainly wouldn’t dare!
How does Yvonne, who feels lost without her children, cope in a house where she has to go out five nights a week and work in a pub? And what does Michele make of her new life where she’s expected to clean to a strict timetable, cook a Sunday roast, and not go out at all?
Yvonne's household philosophy
'I clean all day if I have to so that people remark on how lovely it is when they come round.'

Michele's household philosophy
'Cleaning is not a priority in this house - if the pots need washing then I say wash them yourself.'

Michele's Q&A
'I’m a right nosy so and so and wanted to find out how people’s lives differ from mine.'
