Sinitta's household philosophy
I live with my husband Andy and our two adopted children, Magdelena, 2, and Zac, 1. Completing our household is Nilda, our housekeeper, who, from Monday to Friday helps me to run the home and look after the children. We are extremely busy and motivated working parents. Whenever I am away my Mum will come over so the children always have that continuity. Both Andy and I work hard to maintain our lifestyle and our relationship. We have a modern, equal relationship. Even though we are very busy working parents it is important to us to spend time together as a couple. We are romantic and enjoy having our date nights each week. Andy also likes to surprise me with presents, he is very thoughtful.
I am in control of the household, and we have a schedule and routine to follow to make sure everything runs smoothly. On a day to day basis Nilda and I operate as a team to look after the house and children. We have a shift system and I will do the late nights while Nilda will get the children up and dressed first thing. We all meet at the breakfast table. Nilda is the helper and will panic if she does not know what she is supposed to be doing. You have to supervise and direct her at all times.
Health and fitness are fundamental to our lifestyle. We work out daily and I have a personal trainer to keep me in peak condition. Smoking is not an option for anyone living in this house. I work hard putting in time and effort to maintain my image. My appearance is crucial to my career. I have a stylist and will shop every week. My enormous wardrobe takes up a whole room.
Good manners are vital to our household. Even though our children are very young I believe it is important for parents to teach right from wrong. We have a naughty corner and will use it if the children are disobedient.
My weekly routine can vary immensely according to my work commitments. My showbiz work involves at least 3 jobs a week, which I try and fit in around the children. This can include press interviews, photo shoots or appearing on television programmes.
We are a very sociable couple and have a wide circle of friends. We love to go out or have friends over for dinner regularly. I like to go to showbiz events, and it is part of my job to be seen out and about. To keep myself in the public eye I will make sure I am seen out at least once a week.
God is very important to our household, and we reflect this in how we live our daily lives. Before mealtimes we will say grace, and the family all say prayers together each night before bedtime.
Andy and I work together for our future. We love our luxurious lifestyle and do whatever is necessary to be successful.
Sinitta's rules
1. TV is banned for the next few days.
2. Smoking is also banned for the next few days
3. I have a list of chores for you from Sandra’s schedule that you’ll be taking care of, and it’s going to start with the school run tomorrow morning. It will give you time to bond with Sophie.
4. Spending so much time in front of the telly and at the pub is a waste of your talent, so I’ve arranged a workshop at a theatre college with some young actors who are really privileged and excited to work with you.
