Jenny McCririck's Household Philosophy
I spend my time looking after John - and believe me, it’s a full-time job. He couldn’t function without my support and care. He’s like a child and has to have things done the way he wants them. If they’re not done to his liking – he shouts!
I think it’s easier to let men have their own way – it makes for a quieter life. John believes that wives are there to take care of their husbands, and I agree that within a relationship, traditional roles work better. I look after John, and he is entirely dependent on me – I’m his driver, his PA, his cook, cleaner and housekeeper. We have traditional roles, and both know what’s expected from each other. It’s what keeps our marriage strong.
