Jayne, who loves pink and fluffy, swaps lives with Jane, who escaped the materialism of modern life
Jane lives with husband Bill and their two sons, Isaac (12) and Jacob (10). They believe in strict parenting and hope their children will grow to love the simple and relaxed island life. Since moving to the island, Jane and Bill haven’t made any friends and prefer the company of each other. In their spare time they enjoy nothing more than taking the dogs and children for a long walk across the highlands.
By complete contrast, Jayne loves to be the centre of attention and to socialise. She lives with husband Martin, daughter Sasha (10) and son Max (6), and the house is a non-stop party. Jayne spends hours perfecting her looks and wants her daughter to grow up just as glamorous as her, whilst Martin spends most of his time with son Max. How will Jayne cope with no friends and a 60-mile round trip to the nearest takeaway? Will she struggle with the way childcare is divided between the parents? And how will she react when she discovers that 10-year-old Sasha is allowed alcohol?
