Introduced after a week living with Brad:
- Brad is to make is his fell more appreciated and help out more around the house
- Brad is to take over the wood-cutting business and show some ambition
- Brad is to do the cooking and cleaning around the house
- Brad is to take Jodi out for dinner one evening
- Brad is to make more romantic gestures to his wife

Lynn's rules
Introduced after a week living with Steven:
- The parents in the family do their own thing too much. They are to spend more time as a family
- In an effort to spend more time with the children, Steven will dismiss the nannies
- Steven is to be home from work by 6.30pm every evening
- Steven will read a bedtime story to his children every evening
