Leesa with the Keys
Leesa
Leesa is a housewife and lives with Michael who works as a fence erector, and Grant (16), Mickey (6) and Melissa (11). Big Ben (14), Jemma (11) and Ben (10) live elsewhere.

Q: Why did you want to be on Wife Swap?
A: I've always been a bit of a nosy cow – I like to stick my beak in! I wanted to see how other people live so suggested it to Mick. It turned out that he thought along the same lines.

Q: What parts of the swap did you enjoy?
A: Bruce the parrot – he was very flirty!

Q: What parts of the swap did you find hardest?
A: Finding out how shallow Dawn was and how she'd been acting with my kids. I found Paul very difficult to handle too – he's a poser; everything is for show. I found that very antagonising as I couldn't put him down – he always has to look good.

Q: How did your family cope with the swap?
A: I think the kids found it exciting at first; it was different for them. But, they got upset because Mick was getting upset living with Dawn. Grant wanted to put her straight but she wouldn't listen.

Q: Do you relate to your family differently?
A: At first, when I got back, I was spoiling them more. We're definitely closer now – even though we were always very close before. We're also stronger – we always thought that having money doesn't make everything better and we know that for sure now.

Q: Has it changed you at all?
A: I'd say I was a different person while I was away – up until the table meeting. The experience taught me to calm down but meeting Dawn got me all riled up again. I'd say that I'm slightly calmer overall though.

Q: Would you do it again?
A: Definitely – I'm still really interested in how other people live their lives.

Dawn with the Litchfields
Dawn
Dawn works part-time in a nearby stables whilst Paul runs his own roofing firm. They live with Natalie (9) and Kane (6). Paul's other sons Ross (18) and Jamie (21) live with their mother.

Q: Why did you want to be on Wife Swap?
A: Paul came home one evening from the gym and told me about it, asking if I'd do it. I thought it would be a bit of fun so said, "why not?!"

Q: What parts of the swap did you enjoy?
A: I actually found most of it quite hard work as their life was so boring – the pace was so slow. It was claustrophic: I felt isolated from the outside – in the house all the time. I watched a lot of TV and washed a lot of clothes.

Q: What parts of the swap did you find hardest?
A: The lack of excitement and interaction. I looked around me and saw countless things needing to be done. There were things that Mick needed to do but he always put it off. I ended up doing a lot of washing and just laying around.

Q: How did your family cope with the swap?
A: To them, the house was descending into a disaster with me not around. Paul really missed me.

Q: Do you relate to your family differently?
A: They definitely appreciate me more – Paul and the kids.

Q: Has it changed you at all?
A: No, not at all. I appreciate what I have more, but I don't think I've changed.

Q: Would you do it again?
A: Yes, I'd love to. I'm very outgoing and I think you can learn a lot about life from these experiences. It's a lot like being taught – it's very interesting.
