The second explosive episode of the series sees Karen from Norfolk trading places with Sharon from Rochdale
Karen lives with husband Brian and children Kingsley (13), twins Pia and Jordan (11) and Brandon (4). Brian, who works in computers, has a military background and brings an army-style precision to the house. The children’s bedrooms must be pristine and ready for inspection at all times; if not they’ll be given physical exercise punishments like press-ups or sit-ups. Brian expects Karen to do all of the housework and to wait on him hand and foot. But Karen has had enough: ‘I need him to realise that I’m not lazy, I’m not useless, I’m not stupid and I’m not that bad.’
Sharon and stepdad Paul live with Sharon’s three children, James (14), Leon (13) and Olivier (11), in Paul’s house. Paul is desperate for Sharon to respect him as a partner and to make her children respect him too. But as far as Sharon’s concerned, her children can do no wrong.
Emotions run high when Brian’s strict rules are challenged by strong-minded Sharon and can Karen get Sharon’s kids to understand that Paul deserves a place in his own home?
