How would an average suburban family adapt to life as rich London aristocrats, with all the trappings of wealth, including a beautiful home and extensive household staff?

This new six-part series answers this question by plucking the Callaghan family from southeast London and placing them in a beautiful, fully staffed house in London’s chic Holland Park.

The Callaghans are four forty-something siblings who, together with their partners and children, will live the life of aristocrats for five weeks. But that’s not all.

The participating family members are also competing for an ‘inheritance’ of £50,000, to be given to one lucky recipient at the end of the series. Each week, one member of the family is disinherited, voted out of the running by a secret panel.

And what the Callaghans don't realise is that the panel is composed of seven members of the household staff...

How will this extended family cope with living under one (admittedly large and lavish) roof? Will they become overnight snobs, or remain down-to-earth? And how will they treat the staff, the people who secretly hold their fate in their hands?
