Have you been to a modern holiday camp before? Did you enjoy it?
Yes, I went to one when I was a child. I enjoyed the dancing, and the kids' club and the sports then.
What do you normally do for a holiday?
I like to go on girlie holidays to Corfu, Crete or anywhere warm with some nightlife.
Did you enjoy being in the 1960s?
Yes, it was really good. I like dressing up and the hairdos.
What was the best thing about the 60s? And the worst?
Mixing with people and making such good friends was the best thing. The worst is a close call between the food and the accommodation. I think the food got it though, especially since I'm a vegetarian, and all they could offer me was boiled vegetables. I had to fill up on bread.
What was your favourite activity? And least favourite?
Dancing was my favourite. I didn't like the sexist competitions. I found the Lovely Legs competition slightly degrading. The other thing was that boys weren't allowed to do their own washing and the girls had to wash all their sweaty T-shirts.
Favourite food? Least favourite?
Rice pudding was the best thing. The worst were the kippers we had one morning – yuk, I couldn't eat them.
Did you learn anything from living in the 60s?
Yeah, it's good to mix with people of all ages. I wouldn't usually talk to older people – but they are good fun too.
Would you rather holiday in a 60s camp or a modern camp?
Probably a mix between the two – modern food and 60s mixing with people.
Was there anything you missed about modern living?
Being able to contact my family.
Will you be going on holiday to modern camps in the future?
Yeah, when I'm older, especially if I have kids.
