First of all though, there are some warnings. Football mania can be dangerous for your health.
Isabel Meacher investigates some of the health risks associated with the World Cup.
She discovers that the stress, alcohol and poor diet can end up in illness and injuries. Many people suffer typical reactions to stress such as indigestion, migraines and breathlessness.
Dr Vandenburg of Samedaydoctor says:
Abigail Palmer is a keen footballer and jumped at the chance to learn football freestyle with Daniel Magness in this week's VEE-Challenge. Football freestyle is a football spin-off which is growing in popularity. It involves amazing moves such as balancing the ball around your body and moving with style as you move the ball – just like they do in many of the football sportswear ads on TV.
