Job with VEE-TV: Travel reporter
Star sign: Aquarius – a water baby!
Marital status: Single and loving it – go girl, go girl!
School attended: Mary Hare Grammar School
Life motto: 'Believe in yourself' (as said by my grandma)
Favourite films: The Shawshank Redemption (to increase
your intelligence by watching a clever film!); Dirty Dancing 2 (great
for a girly night)
Which single object could you not live without?
Before travelling, I would have said my hair straighteners, but I haven't used
them since I left the UK. My mobile is one of them; also my digital camera!
You can have so much fun with it, and since travelling we have taken some fantastic
photos!
Who would you choose to star in your life story?
Drew Barrymore or Kate Winslet – both are beautiful, have been through
a lot (especially weight gains, which I am prone to without careful eating),
and they get to kiss very sexy actors!
If E.T. knocked on your door, holding up a peace sign, and asked to
use your phone, what would you do?
Say: 'Of course, man, you can use the phone as long as you can bring my plants
back to life (I've a habit of not watering my plants and leaving them to wilt,
badly!) and make me fly in the air with my bike (always wanted to do that)!
What is the best thing about VEE-TV for you?
A door that opens another world, with deaf people, and meeting more people too.
Since VEE-TV, I've met presenters Ahmed and
Rebecca on my travels and have gotten to know
them better. I've met other people too. It's hard to get to know the London
Deaf community because I live in Yorkshire and hardly get to go to London.
If you could make a film about anything for VEE-TV, what would it be?
Deaf artists – there's a lot of talented deaf artists out there. Some
are known but not well enough.
What is your long-term aim?
To be successful in life, and healthy, and to live in a Victorian house with
two cats and two dogs, up in the north of the UK!
