Access rights
A new disability bill is currently being pushed through Parliament. It addresses some of the problems that exist under the current Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).

Under the new bill, public bodies will have to promote equality and positive attitudes towards disabled people, and tackle hate crime. There will be new rights relating to public transport, involvement in public life, housing, access to private clubs and access to exams such as GCSEs and A-Levels.

For more information, visit the Disability Rights Commission website
